Professor Salihu Adelabu
Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu received his PhD (Management Science with biasness in Public Management) from the prestigious management university, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Malaysia. He had double Master degrees, namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) and MSc. in Islamic Finance and Banking from the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, and Kolej Universiti Inshania, Kedah Darul-Aman, Malaysia respectively. He bagged his B.Sc. (Mathematics & Education) with Second Class Upper from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He belongs to the following professional bodies, i.e. Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals, the Association of National Accountants, the Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria, the Association of Entrepreneurship Scholars, the Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship Nigeria, the Institute of Public Management Nigeria, The Academy of Management Nigeria, the Malaysian Institute of Management, Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance, Nigerian Institute of Management and Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Nigeria.
Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu has contributed academic research works/articles in conference proceedings, chapter contributions, and reputable international journals. He has equally authored textbooks on Islamic finance and public finance. Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu was the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Director, of the Centre for Research Commercialization (CRC), and Academic Business Manager at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State.
Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu is the adaptation team lead of the Connected Learning for STEM (CL4STEM), an international educational project sponsored by the International Development Research Center (IDRC), involving Nigeria, Tanzania, and Bhutan, Innovate Learning and Teaching in the 21st Century, Advanced Digital Appreciation Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADAPTI), Connected Learning for Teacher Capacity Building in STEM, Emerging Issues on Intellectual Property and Technology, Open Educational Resources for Online Learning, etc. Also, he has expertise in Educational Management, Public and Global Finance and Economic Crisis, Non-interest Financial Systems, and Public Sector Economics. He is a chartered management consultant, and a principal partner with STM Consults, Minna, Niger State. Presently, Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu is the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Ibadan, Oyo State.
