Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun Tiamy

A Data Analyst with adept in data-driven decision-making, predictive modelling, Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun Tiamy was born on 18th April, 1978 into the noble family of Alhaji and Alhaja Tiamiyu Oloye of Eyin-Ogan, Lagelu Local Government area of Oyo State, Nigeria.

He attended Eleta Primary School in 1989 and had his Secondary School at Osegere Grammar School in Lagelu Local Government, Ibadan where he got his Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1996. He proceeded to the Premier University, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and bagged Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) Political Science in 2004.

Tiamy’s quest for Education earned him an overseas University Degree at the University of Essex – BA (Hons) in Business and Management, Project Management Professional (PMP) as well as Business Intelligence training; SQL, Excel, IBM Data management, Tableau and QlikView, all in the United Kingdom where he also received several trainings in Information Technology (IT) and grew to become an IT Expert and Consultant.

His Post Graduate journey has been smooth as he recently enrolled to bag two Masters of Science in International Relations at the Leeds University, London and University of Ibadan, Nigeria simultaneously.

With a strong background in project management, a proven track record of successful project delivery, and a deep commitment to public service, he’s always eager to contribute his acquired skills and expertise to the dynamic and impactful projects.

As a highly motivated and results-driven project management professional with 13years of experience, he has had the privilege of managing complex initiatives across various sectors, from infrastructure and healthcare to education and public administration while his experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive skill set that includes: Project Planning and Execution, Team Leadership, Risk Management, Budget Management, Stakeholder Communication, Estate Management and Property Development among other Leadership roles.

However, Tiamy in his previous role at Department of Work and Pension in United Kingdom, had the privilege of successfully leading Project – ‘’Maximising employment to aid economy recovery following COVID 19’’, that significantly improved the numbers of remote working and development of software and tools for companies in UK. This experience reinforced his commitment to driving positive change through effective project management and problem-solving.

 

HIS POLITICAL ACTIVITIES

Honourable Tiamy, as he’s fondly called among his political associates has been an active People’s Democratic Party (PDP) membership Card holder since 2015 under which he aspired to hold the party’s flag in the 2023 general elections as the Federal House of Representative member to represent Akinyele/Lagelu Federal constituency, in Oyo state. He also participated in campaigning for all candidates in the 2019 and 2023 general elections respectively.

Hon Tiamy’s passion for the motherland makes him regular in Nigeria whenever he is on leave with array of philanthropic activities through OLOYE TIAMY FOUNDATION. The Foundation he established many years ago to cater for the less privileged in the community especially within the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency of Oyo state. This foundation causes are: Provision of Affordable Healthcare, Education & Training, Sustainability, Local outreach among many others. This has won him love of his people in Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency and his immense contributions to the society has earned him many awards among which is Party Leadership award presented by Akinyele/Lagelu Youth Forum, he was also a Guest speaker at the PDP Youth conference in 2022 one of the qualities His Excellency, the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde saw in him to have appointed him as the Special Adviser on Education Intervention in 2023 till date.

Hon Tiamy, out of his merciful nature to reduce the rate of unemployment among the youths, he founded a number of successful businesses amongst them are: Deuex Restaurants, United Kingdom; and MoreHub Varieties Nigeria; Real Estate Investment both in Nigeria and United Kingdom.

 

HIS INTERESTS AND HOBBIES

Hon Tiamy usually gets involved in Community Volunteering and engagement especially among the youths. He also loves Traveling and Learning languages while hobbies are Sports, Reading and listening to music.
