Dr. Olufisayo Elugbadebo

Dr. Olufisayo Elugbadebo is a clinical and academic Psychiatrist, a fellow of the West African College of Physicians – the highest medical qualification attainable in the African region. She has participated in several professional development trainings centred on clinical interventions for psychological and behavioural disorders and periodically embarks on varied research activities both within and outside Nigeria. She is currently a lecturer in the University of Ibadan, College of Medicine, and an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria.

Olufisayo is the Vice President of Brain Health Initiative, a non-governmental association that provides advocacy for brain health in individuals across all age groups and conducts several mental health promoting services in the Nigerian communities. Dr. Elugbadebo is one of the conveners of a yearly programme – I Can Still Dance; a social platform for older adults to socialize and where younger caregivers are taught non-pharmacological interventions to de-stress. She is actively involved in local and international public speaking on stress management, depression, cognitive impairment, and how to promote the overall mental well-being and quality of life in humans.
