
Louis Adekola
Prince Louis Omolayo Adekola is an education expert with vast experience in international education consultancy and higher education management. He holds a B.Ed. in Educational Management from Adekunle Ajasin University, an M.Ed. in Comparative Education from the University of Lagos, and an MA in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex. He currently works as the Regional Officer for the University of Sussex, United Kingdom in West Africa while also serving as the Convener/Programme Coordinator of The International Education (TINE) Africa Summit & Awards.
Louis is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Edvant Edge Africa, an educational advancement firm that aims at positively transforming higher education institutions in Africa. As an award-winning changemaker, Louis was an Africa Scholar at the 2016 Educational Advancement in Africa Conference, Kenya; Delegate to the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Qatar (2017) and in Ghana (2018); Panellist at the 2018 World Merit Summit in Morocco, and Delegate to the 2019 Global Education and Skills Forum, UAE. In 2017, he was ranked as the 4th Most Influential Young Nigerian by the African Youth Awards, and in 2018, he was listed as one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans.
Louis was a 2019/20 Chevening Scholar under the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK Government and graduated from Sussex with a Distinction. In 2019, he received the World Youth Forum Award at the Arab and Africa Youth Platform in Egypt for his incredible works in improving global education. In 2022, he received the Royal African Leadership Award of the Ooni of Ife, and in the year 2023, he was ranked as one of the Top 25 Nigerians Changing the Face of Education by Vive Africa. Prince Louis Omolayo Adekola is a passionate leader, an education changemaker, and an inspiration to young people within Africa and beyond. He is also an ardent lover of the performance arts, culture, tourism, and the general appreciation of human nature.
