Oloye Kayode Ogunsola

Kayode was educated at Corona School Ikoyi, Lagos for his nursery and primary education. He thereafter attended Command Secondary School (Ipaja) Lagos for his secondary education. He is an alumnus of a number of Universities globally including University of Ibadan where he obtained his first degree.

Kayode was formerly Chairman of the UK Chapter of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Europe (NIDOE UK) from 2007 to 2011.

He was appointed General Manager / Deputy Director Business Development and Investment (BDI) Finance Directorate, in the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NiMet), a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Aviation (FMA) in the Goodluck Jonathan Administration where he served from 2010 to 2016. He was retained under the Buhari Administration until he resigned the appointment in 2020 to pursue other private and educational interests. In his period of service in the Federal Government, he led a number of transformation projects with International partner organizations such as the UK Met and US Enterprise Radar. Kayode worked directly with the Office of the Honourable Minister of Aviation (HMA) from 2010 to 2014.

He is a Executive Director of various organizations and charities including being on the Board of Directors (BOD) of the US Chapter of the Command Lagos Old Students Association Alumni (CSSLOSA).

From a business and entrepreneurial standpoint, Kayode is the Chairman of the VBG Group and owns a chain of retail services stores in the United States where his Law and Business degrees have served him well in his business ventures.

Professionally, Kayode is a Certified Information Systems Architect (Enterprise Architecture) with close to 30 years of cognate professional experience in both managerial and executive roles. He has worked in over 20 countries worldwide (Europe, North America, Asia and Africa) on high-value global technology and digital transformation programmes for major blue-chip multinational corporations spanning industry sectors such as Finance, Insurance, Technology, Healthcare and Utilities.

Educationally, he holds a Bachelor’s (BSc. Hons) from the University of Ibadan, an Executive MBA from Cranfield University School of Business, a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Information Systems Design from the University of Westminster (UK) and a Graduate Laws (LLB) from the University of London (UK). He has attended Executive Leadership courses at Harvard University, George Mason University and MIT, all in the USA. Kayode is currently on a Doctorate programme in Europe.

Kayode holds the traditional title of Mogaji Olubadan (Chief) of Ibadan land.

Kayode is a happily married family man. He enjoys documentaries, biopics and spending time with family and friends.
